Adding a Splash of Color to Your Big Day

These cold Michigan winter months landscaped with white snowy lawns and grey skies have us counting down the days until spring. As we try to think of different ways to incorporate color into our daily lives to give us a smile, we have come up with some fun ways to incorporate bold colors into your wedding day. Here are 6 simple ways to add pops of color that are fun, but that are not overbearing.

Colorful socks or shoes: This is a great way for your bridal party to get in on the color action and a fun way for them to show a bit of personality.

Colorful Dress Accents: Many brides won't stray away from the all-white dress, but we have few examples that add a little color to your dress while keeping it simple with a traditional feel.

Confetti: Having your guests shower you with colorful confetti is a great way to celebrate your new union and add a ton of color in a small way. Choosing a biodegradable option is great for the environment and easier to clean up as well!

Flowers: Using bright colored flowers in your bouquet, boutonniere and centerpieces add pops of color throughout your wedding. Even in the winter months, you can find bright floral options.

Cakes: When it comes to deciding on how your cake is decorated, there are a lot of options out there. You can easily add color in this category by using fresh flowers in bright colors to decorate or using an ombre look that gives you a pop of bright color at the bottom and gets more subtle as it moves up your cake.

Just-for-You Details: Adding a colorful detail that only you and your groom knows about it can be a fun way to add color in a special way.
