New Age Bohemian: Rustic barn weddings have been popular for the past several years, but now these Bohemian weddings are going to give them a run for their money. While there is still an overall relaxed atmosphere, these weddings will have a more elevated feel. Bohemian weddings will have less-DIY materials and focus on artisan-sourced decor with an edgy vibe. This also includes macram√© decor accents; such as table runners, wall decor, dream catchers, and more.

Textured Linens: Another 2018 wedding trend highlights textured linens with unique patterns as well as laser-cut designs, perfect for overlays with a cream base linen. Velvet linens also create a luxe, warm feel that add a soft textural element. These velvet linens would also pair great with rich, moody floral arrangements mentioned below any time of year!

Darker Floral Palettes: Flowers that will bring the drama and depth to bouquets and floral arrangements. Top picks yield towards the 2018 Color of the Year Ultra Violet and other deep colors, such as plum and burgundy. Pairing these bold floral colors with metallic vessels ranging from gold to chrome will compliment their rich tones. Trends also say that it is more important for 2018 couples to convey the perfect mood rather than sticking to a two-tone color palette.

Modern Influences: Couples are seeking more modern, minimalist architectural and decor pieces that offer a clean, clear-cut look. These include clear-sided tents, glass tabletops and Lucite invitations creating visually stimulating elements.

Colored Candles: Candles not only enhance the ambiance, lighting and mood of your wedding, but can easily contribute to your color palette as well. Trends are showing that 2018 brides will be opting for more colored candles; such as blue tapers, to add another splash of color on tables.

Creative Desserts: More and more couples are starting to step out of their "cake comfort zones" to explore other dessert options. Popular trends include unique dessert buffets, cheesecake, pie, fondue, macaroons, and more. Don't worry cake lovers, wedding cakes are not totally out of the picture! Some couples are doing both cake and dessert buffets as well! The emphasis on the creative desserts being to offer a unique wedding experience for their guests and cater to numerous tastes as well.

Black Bridal Accents: For some this is a sensitive area that should not be messed with, but for those of us that love a little extra bridal look drama, this trend is right up our alley! Bridal designers the like of Vera Wang, Marchesa and Reem Acra are all including stunning bridal gowns with black accents into their 2018 bridal collections. We love how it creates a chic and modern, monochromatic look!

What 2018 wedding trends are you most excited for? Personally, I am excited to see more bold bridal looks with modern black embellishments!

Cheers to the New Year!
